Bantams Banter

Bantams BanterCreating a website for popular Bradford City podcast Bantams Banter was a great break from the norm. Hosted by Tom and Dom, Bantams Banter is a hilarious podcast recorded live at Bradford City matches and it has gained a large fan following.

The website is created with WordPress, so it is maintained entirely by Tom and Dom and it serves as a great platform to interact with their fans, share photographs and media,  promote their sponsors and more.

It’s been great fun working with them to develop the website and I hope it helps to increase their popularity further. Whether you are into football or not, their podcast is well worth a listen (although sometimes not for the faint of heart!) so please visit http://bantamsbanter.com for more information.

Appleton Academy homepage update

Academy websiteIt’s full steam ahead at Appleton Academy in Bradford, with brand new buildings well underway and lots of great events taking place. They wanted to bring this exciting news right to the forefront of their website and we achieved this with a homepage restructure.

Once a simple welcome from the principal, the homepage is now a dynamic communication portal, great for keeping students and parents informed. The clean, non cluttered layout also allows for the inclusion of some of the academy’s important information, such as their outdoor learning program.

Farfield Primary School

Farfield Primary SchoolThere are a lot of web design companies out there whose definition of a “bespoke” website design is a generic template with a few images and colours changed here and there. I prefer to start each new project from scratch and build each project to my clients’ own specifications, making their websites to truly stand out from the crowd. No example demonstrates this more clearly than a fun and vibrant website that I helped to create for Farfield Primary School in Buttershaw, Bradford.

This was a unique project for me because the school had the fantastic idea of involving the children in the design process of the website. A design competition was held in school for all its year groups and the winning entries came from Courtney in year 6 and Logan in year 3. I met with Courtney and Logan to discuss their brilliant ideas for the website and a final design was developed. The outcome is great and got the thumbs up from staff and pupils at the school.

More information about the development of the website, including the entries from Courtney and Logan can be found on the developing the website page.

The website has all the usual great features – contact form, Google map, a latest news blog, galleries and much more, all maintainable in school by their staff.

Looking to develop your own web presence with a bespoke design? I’d love to hear from you!

New testimonial from EURAGE

Following the work I recently did with them, Dave from the European Research Group on Attitudes to Age (EURAGE) has kindly written me the following testimonial:

“Mark Langdale worked with EURAGE this year, designing, creating and helping to maintain our website. At the time of approaching Mark we were in the process of creating a research team aiming to investigate attitudes to age across Europe. To do this successfully we all agreed we needed a web presence. Mark has been fantastic every step of the way in helping us achieve this. Not only were his designs brilliant, but the manner in which he communicated and the speed he worked were exceptional. He has been a pleasure to work with and we would, and have, recommend him to everyone.”
