Dixons Allerton Academy New Build

Dixons Allerton Academy New Build WebsiteI recently created a blog to help showcase the new development work at Dixons Allerton Academy. Over the next year and a half a new school building is being created to replace the existing school buildings. Dixons Allerton Academy wanted a platform to document progress and keep teachers, parents and students informed.

The visualisations of the school look great so I tried to feature them as much as possible, involving them in a rotating banner and a background image. The blog also features an image gallery.

The blog is fully maintained by staff in school and allows visitors to share and comment on latest news posts, which will hopefully generate some interactivity on the website.

Worth Valley Primary School

Worth Valley Primary School WebsiteLast year I helped to create a website for Worth Valley Primary School in Keighley.

Similar to Farfield Primary School, Worth Valley wanted to involve their pupils in the design process. A design competition was held in school and there were some fantastic entries. Three winning designs were selected and elements from each were taken to form a bright, vibrant and fun website design. The school is situated next to the Worth Valley Railway so an animated train became a key feature of the website along with an animated girl cycling at the bottom of the screen.

The names of the classes in school are based on an animals and this theme is visible on the class page with cartoon graphics of each class animal.

Like most of the school websites that I help to create, the content can easily be edited by members of staff using the friendly user interface.
